Here are a list of all our current, up-to-date pet sitter certifications. Each of our pet sitters are required to take a Pet CPR & First Aid course. They are able to recognize when your pet is in visible distress and might need to make an emergency vet visit. Additionally, they can provide basic first aid if necessary.
We also require each of our pet sitters to pass a six hour-long course on pet sitting & dog walking. This course covers all the basics to be able to ensure professional service each time. We strive to provide exceptional customer service to keep our human clients just as happy as we keep our furry ones!
The owner of the business, Tonya Putney, is a Fear Free Certified Professional. The objective of the Fear Free Pet course is to teach the benefits of positive reinforcement and the dangers of training methods that involve fear or pain. The Fear Free Certification teaches the modern approach to pet care that seeks to improve the human-animal bond through trust. Tonya is familiar with fearful and reactive animals and handles them skillfully and sensitively.

Tonya is the absolute best! Her love for animals was noted immediately when she walked in my house for the “meet and greet”. My 2 pups absolutely ADORE her and so do myself and my husband. I almost can’t wait to go on vacation just to hire her to house sit, dog and cat sit just because I KNOW she’s spoil them rotten during her stay! Hands down the best of the best. This weekend was a busy one for me & with a deployment I sometimes need last minute help. I have always been organized for future events to schedule doggie care but sometimes things slip thru the cracks. Tonya Putney with Tail Wags & Walks LLC has been my savior once again this weekend to help me out at the last minute with making sure the pups were walked & fed. If you’re in the area & need some animal check-ins or walks reach out to Tonya! She will do an initial meet & greet with you, take notes on feedings, personality/triggers for your dogs, and then when she’s with your animals you always get photos & a recap on how the visit went. Yes, I’ve always used ‘the app’ in the past since I had a few walkers I got to know & trust, but here’s a woman that I’ve known for years (one of Freya’s puppies is her adopted pup!) that started her own business.
